Ranked amongst the world's best fashion schools

In total, the list has 54 institutions and schools from 17 countries. The Swedish School of Textiles’ bachelor and master programmes are placed, respectively, 39th and 13th in the list.
“To have an international presence, it is important to be in these sorts of rankings,” comments Clemens Thornquist, professor in fashion design.

“The ranking also shows us that our master programmes are the best in the Nordic countries.”

Top-ten goal

The top ten includes schools such as Central Saint Martins, Parsons School of Design and Polimoda. While Clemens Thornquist feels it is good to be listed alongside the major schools, he is still not entirely satisfied.
“Of course, the goal is an at least top-ten place. We work continuously on programme quality and I think we can do even better. I also feel that, to create an even stronger international profile, we should work more on internationalisation, with more collaborations and exchanges.”
