Application information
This course will provide you with a better understanding about how garments and other products are constructed. This will be done by studying all the basic elements required to give you with a better insight about this part of the world. Through these studies you will be able to create your own innovate perspective, in the form of a prototype, made individually or in a group. Textiles are not only about the clothing we wear, but also a technical part of the world we live in. This is a web-based distance course.
The course covers the field of textile product, ie how a textile product is developed in the context of the design process steps and provides an insight into different textile areas such as technical textiles, functional textiles, smart textiles and industrial textiles. The course focuses on broad textile technical knowledge and sustainability aspects of textile materials, structures and processes, and how these are used in new applications in the textile value chain.
