The lab conducts research projects that are either funded through public or private research funding. Sometimes assignment research is also done, which means that a company or a private person comes up with a specific question that they want to have investigated.

When a company pays for a research assignment, a detailed compilation of the results is made where the responsible researcher reports analysis and conclusions directly to the client / company. The type of report written on the order of a company is not published here due to company confidentiality. In the case of contract research, company names may be anonymised in public scientific publications.

Some internally funded studies in the Retail Lab are done within the framework of a course and can, e.g. used in essays. Here, companies can participate in and contribute with interesting issues and/or different forms of data material.
