Göran Jutengren is associate professor in psychology and senior lecturer at the University of Borås, Sweden. His general research interest is in health psychology, with an emphasis on areas that may have bearing on inequality in health and well-being. More precisely, his research has concerned parent-child relationships, domestic violence, children’s health and well-being in the school environment, as well as efficiency and improvement of health and welfare organizations. Current projects include research in risk factors for mental illness and sick leave among managers and employees in health and welfare organizations. He is regularly consulted for advice in quantitative methods by various research environments.
Jutengren’s teaching includes all levels, from basic to post graduate courses, and a wide range of teaching forms, including lectures, seminars, laboratory exercises, problem-based learning, web-based distance teaching, as well as tutoring and examination of essays at basic and advanced level. After teaching courses in developmental psychology, his main focus has been on quantitative research method where he has been involved in developing a number of new courses. In addition, he has broadened his teaching towards courses with relevance for work and organizational psychology, such as recruitment, learning organizations, and work motivation.
