Interaction Design: Usability and Interaction in Digital Environments

The course on Interaction Design focuses on user centered design processes for the design and development of different types of digital services and interactive products. Its emphasis is not on the technical aspects of these products and services but rather on users' needs and the ways by which we can design for a better user experience.  In other words, we strive to provide an overall understanding of interaction design (IxD) with particular emphasis on user involvement in the design process.

To achieve this, students do not need specific or advanced technical competence in programming or coding, but rather be curious and creative about how you use and apply the different tools and concepts (such as personas, scenarios etc) for understanding users' requirements and user experiences that will be introduced during the course. By the end of the course, students are able to design a prototype of a digital interactive service or product based on data collected from potential users during the design project.

The course is a part of the Master's programme: Library and Information Science, Digital Library and Information Services

Front-End Web Development

Front-End Web Development is an IT educational programme where coding, visual design, web/mobile design, and UX design meet. There is an increasing demand for front-end web developers in the rapidly growing industry, which means significant career opportunities for our students. Our package of front-end web development courses gives you real-world skills and knowledge in designing user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI), which are crucial for the success of any website or mobile application.
