I am a senior lecturer in Library and Information Science. My research interests stem from a background in women’s history research as well as my interests in photography, digitization, and the archive. These interests have translated into research on the development of feminism within institutional politics, gendered media coverage of political scandal during the Cold War, the definition and circumscription of gender, race, and class in digitized cultural heritage collections, and the nature of the relationship between physical and digital archives, with a focus on how classification and description systems travel across the physical-digital barrier.
I am also the program coordinator for the international master’s program in Library and Information Science, Digital Libraries and Information Services.
