I work as a doctoral student within the field of textile material technology, smart textiles, where I focus on development of functional or smart textiles by the state of the art technology like 3D printing, digital inkjet printing technology, and coating of conductive polymers on textile and incorporation of smart fibers during weaving of textiles.

I have worked at the University of Borås since 2015. Before that, I studied Bachelor of Science in textile engineering and Master of Science in textile technology (with a focus on surface modification of polyester) at Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia.

My research project is financed by (European Commission) Erasmus Mundus, SMDTex.
