Grants and Innovation Office is primarily a support function for researchers at the university. We provide expertise and review project proposals as well as provide advice and support on innovation projects. Do you need support for your research? Contact us to book a meeting.
Note that project management and project coordination are conducted by the Faculties.
We provide specialised support in four areas:
Research advising is a specialised sort of advising related to funding, project structure, and approaches regarding your research proposal. As a researcher, you can also receive guidance when it comes to different networks. Research advisors monitor calls for funding and research programmes, both national and international. Through the research advisors, you can also have influence on future calls for funding and reseach programmes.
Innovation and collaboration support
Innovation advisors guide and support you as a researcher in your work to push your research projects forward. You can receive techniques to evaluate your intellectual assets in research, tools for validation, as well as advice regarding research use. Advising with a large contact network helps you to determine the societal relevance of your research.
As part of a proposal, the finance officer will assist you with budget planning and the interpretation of financial rules and regulations. If you have questions about the project’s financial aspects or general questions about the EU’s framework programme for research innovation, you can ask the finance officer. The finance officer also offers some guidance to administrative and finance staff as well as university leadership in research funding questions. Financial support can be seen as a key quality management aspect of larger research proposals, reporting, and auditing.
The legal counsel provides you as a researcher with support when it comes to contract negotiation and contract writing with external collaboration partners and funders. You can receive support in drafting new contracts or help with negotiation of terms and conditions when it comes to research collaboration. Legal counsel is also a part of the support we offer regarding collaboration and utilisation of research results.
