Performance review


The University of Borås has a common instrument used in all departments and units. In order to use the material, we offer annual training for all employees. The discussion is one of the stages in assuring the quality, our work environment and will be an ongoing process in a learning organization.


Before the performance review, it is important that both the manager and the employee prepare. The manager ensures that the employees receive materials in advance.


The discussion should be a dialogue between employees and immediate superiors. The performance review shall:

  • Highlight the employees' goals, tasks, work situation and development.
  • Provide an opportunity for employees to receive feedback on their role / function.
  • Give the employee an opportunity to give feedback to their manager.
  • Be a time to go through higher overall goals and values.


The discussion aims to promote personal development, good working environment and continuous organizational development. The talks are a regular communication between managers and employees.
