Our wardrobes are already overfilled with clothes. So why do we still design and make more clothes? Why have clothes lost their value? It is time to consider and do research regarding how we can make clothes that matter!
Eleven designers with backgrounds in different design traditions took on the challenge of creating their own outfit or accessory from what they considered to be important values. Designers from the fashion industry and students from the Swedish School of Textiles, Beckmans College of Design and the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design (Konstfack) came together at the Swedish School of Textiles for the `Make Clothes that Matter´-project, to challenge the dominant idea about what is truly valuable.
