Library and Information Science

Within the field of Library and Information Science, we offer the courses below to incoming exchange students.

The Swedish School of Library and Information Science welcome exchange students to enroll in the course Methods and Tools in Libraries during the Autumn semester.

This is the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic calendar. All new exchange students should attend the Orientation Days 27-28 August 2026.

Bachelor's level

Methods and Tools in Libraries (PDF), 15 ECTS, P2

Exchange students attending this course will study alongside our Bachelor's students in Library Science.

In period 1, students are encouraged to take courses in Business Administration, and Informatics and IT to expand their skillset with cross-disciplinary perspectives. Students may also choose to add the Swedish Language Course.

This is the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic calendar. All new exchange students should attend the Orientation Days 28-29 August 2025.

Bachelor's level

Methods and tools in libraries (PDF), 15 ECTS - period 2 (November 4th-January 19th)

In order to obtain 30 ECTS students are welcome to take classes in Business Administration and Economics, and ITas long as they meet the necessary requirements.

We further recommend students to take the course Swedish Language and Culture, 7,5 ECTS in period 1.
