Sexual health

To have thoughts about one’s sexuality or relationship with a partner is common. Sometimes it can be valuable to talk to someone outsider about these matters.

You are always welcome to the student health care centre if you have questions about your sexual health. If we can’t help you we will refer you to someone who can.

 

Get tested

Testing for sexually transmitted infections is free of charge in Sweden. You can get tested at the STD clinic (STD-mottagning in Swedish) at Southern Älvsborg Hospital, SÄS or at a young persons´ clinic (Ungdomsmottagning in Swedish) if you are under 25 years of age.

Free will only

Every human being has the right to decide over their body and their sexuality. Therefore, Sweden has a sexual offence law based on the idea of free will. Sex must be an act of free will - otherwise it is a crime. Learn more and find out what kind of help you can get. Information in English and other languages.
