Industrial closures, such as wires and screws, are used as garment assembly methods, while simple folds reference the fluidity and rawness of nature. This imbalance is further reflected in a composite material developed by heat-bonding natural fibres between two layers of plastic. Like a fence obscuring the landscape behind it, the material plays with visibility and concealment: from a distance it appears entirely plastic, while closer inspection reveals the flax fibres trapped within, reflecting the dominance of the industrial over the natural.
