Aiming for 2030 with new goals and strategies
2025-09-03
“The goal of ‘The attractive university’ is still in place. This was considered to be of central importance, especially given the need to promote an open, inclusive, and critically reflective academic culture that contributes to knowledge and social dialogue,” said Mats Tinnsten, Vice-Chancellor.
“The new goal ‘Distinctiveness and societal relevance’ builds on our previous goal of complete academic environments but has been clarified to better reflect the university’s vision and strategic direction.
More details about the meaning of each goal are summarised in bullet points (read more on the employee website, see link below).
Four strategies become three
Our strategies are intended to describe the university’s common approach and clarify our focus for the period in order to enable long-term development in line with our two goals. For the coming period, our strategies are threefold:
- Together and collaboratively
- A vibrant campus
- Excellent environments
The strategies are accompanied by an explanatory text intended to support our daily work (read more on the employee website, see link below).
Work this autumn
The university’s managers will receive a presentation of, and have the opportunity to discuss, these new goals and strategies at meetings in the early autumn. After that, the intention is that each department will continue to work further on what the goals and strategies mean for them.
