International Partner Day to be held at the university as the EAIE conference kicks off
2025-08-29
Partner Day is organised in connection with the major international conference EAIE, which takes place in Gothenburg from Tuesday to Friday during the same week.
Organised annually in different European cities, EAIE is the world's largest international higher education event. The University of Borås, together with five other universities in western Sweden - University of Gothenburg, Chalmers, Jönköping University, Halmstad University and University of Skövde, are the proud hosts of EAIE 2025, which is expected to attract up to 7,000 guests from all over the world. The consortium has been working together for several years to bring the conference to Gothenburg and now the time has finally come.
“This is an important opportunity to maintain good relationships with our current partners and to find new collaborations. The fact that the conference is taking place in Gothenburg this year gives the University of Borås a golden opportunity to market itself internationally. Several activities are planned to make our brand visible and Partner Day is one of these efforts,” said Anneli Bentzlin, the university's representative for the conference.
View services and resources
Partner Day begins in the Textile Fashion Center with a general introduction to the University of Borås and the services and resources the university offers exchange students, from study guidance and our library to accommodations and Orientation Days. The morning will showcase what incoming students have the opportunity to experience and learn during their exchange term. During the afternoon portion, visitors will be able to choose two focus areas in which they would like to immerse themselves and will then spend time in several locations around the campus. There will be various presentations, workshops, and tours of the university's labs, where visitors have a unique opportunity to connect with core staff and get to know the University of Borås from different perspectives.
“We have 45 registered participants from 31 different universities, which is very exciting. One participant is from RMIT in Australia and the rest are from Europe. There is a good spread between our subject areas, which is also great, and we at the International Office look forward to showing our fine university,” said Linn Hultgren, International Coordinator.
On Tuesday, 9 September, bus tours will be organised from the conference in Gothenburg, for visitors who have expressed an interest in going to one of the host campuses in advance. Around 30 visitors are expected in Borås on this day, so be prepared to see international guests on campus on Tuesday.
