Welcome to this research seminar, where Karen Louise Grova Søilen, Associate Senior Lecturer in Information Studies, Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, Lund University, presents her BUL project HOMECTRL, which centers on digital everyday life and the new affordances of control provided by domestic smart technologies and AI-enabled interactive surveillance systems. A focus of the presentation will be on how the concept of ’the leaky home’ may enhance our understanding of the spectrum from mundane to abusive uses of digital technologies in the home.
