"We are deeply saddened by the loss of a valued colleague. Jonas was a person who spread joy, warmth and positive energy around him. Through his friendly manner, genuine commitment and great willingness to help, he was always there for colleagues and students. A meeting with him always left you with a smile and renewed energy," said Ilona Sárvári Horváth, Head of the Department of Resource Recovery and Building Technology.
Jonas Hansson graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Borås and worked as a Laboratory Technician after completing his studies. After several years at other workplaces, he returned in 2018 in a new role as Research Engineer. Jonas was responsible for the Energy Lab and served as supervisor for the group of Technicians and Research Engineers.
"Through his strong commitment and service-minded approach, he made significant contributions to the development of our technical laboratories and research environments within resource recovery. His willingness to help others and find solutions made him an appreciated and invaluable colleague. We will remember him for his warmth, generosity and positive attitude, and for the impact he left on both our operations and all of us who had the privilege of working alongside him. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones," said Kamran Rousta, Head of Professional Services, who until recently had been Jonas Hansson’s manager.
