Media praise Exit26 at Copenhagen Fashion Week
2026-08-11
Exit26 brings together 22 graduating students from the Swedish School of Textiles’ BFA and MFA programmes in Fashion Design – presenting their final collections. The show marks both the culmination of their studies and the public emergence of a new generation of designers.
A new generation of experimental fashion practices
Presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week, the show reflects a generation navigating a fashion landscape shaped by economic uncertainty, technological transformation, and the constant circulation of images and content. Through material exploration, experimentation, and the development of distinctive design languages, the graduates explore what it means to emerge as a designer today.
Rather than presenting a single vision of fashion’s future, Exit26 unfolds as a constellation of individual practices. Spanning tailoring, knitwear, textile development, digital processes, speculative material systems and sculptural propositions, the collections show the breadth of contemporary fashion practice at the Swedish School of Textiles, where artistic research, technical expertise and material investigation are closely integrated.
International media praise for Exit26
The Exit26 show has been praised across several media outlets, including Vogue Scandinavia, ELLE UK and Fashion Forum. The latter writes:
“If there is one thing the Swedish textile school truly excels at, it is textiles. Impressive, playful and experimental textiles [...] Thank you for reminding us of the humour and of everything that clothing can be when it is fun, creative and exciting.”
