Head of the Executive Office at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office has passed away

“We deeply regret the loss of our colleague Katarina Ek. She was a person who radiated calm and a sense of security, and her methodical and meticulous way of working was appreciated by everyone around her. Katarina was knowledgeable and constructive, always willing to help others, kind and considerate in her manner. To very many, she was so much more than a colleague – she was a friend and a source of inspiration,” said Mats Tinnsten, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Borås.

Katarina Ek worked at the University of Borås since 1999 and held many different roles and assignments in central parts of the university’s operations. Since 2020, she had been Head of the Executive Office at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.
