The Automation Lab
The Automation Lab is an environment for process engineering solutions, with different modules as well as the space to experiment. We explore how technology can solve technical issues and replace human tasks that may be difficult or dangerous to perform. We work from the perspective of Industry 5.0 and consider how people are affected by automation.
Our knowledgeable staff can support researchers and businesses on issues related to industrial engineering and management, automation and AI, cybersecurity and connected devices, and more. The IUC production technology network is one of our partners.
The lab has three different modules:
- Industrial factory 4.0, where students learn how to control a process and understand how to plan a flow using a remote controlled solution.
- A collaborative robot, CASAT 4.0, which teaches students how to design flexible production from a variety of aspects.
- An AI robot that enables students and researchers to create and develop their own AI solutions that can be used in various automation areas.
Collaborate with us
The Automation Lab can support research questions related to human-machine interaction. We welcome research groups and institutions who wish to learn more about the lab and the opportunities for interdisciplinary research.
Contract education – We customise contract education for companies. Get in touch and we'll tell you more.
