Centre for Reading Research and Promotion (CLL)

Centre for Reading Research and Promotion (CLL)

The research conducted within the centre focuses on how reading may take place, how different media formats affect the reader, and how reading may be developed, or limited, by different contexts, environments, and societal developments.

However, the centre does not consist solely of research, research collaborations, and academic networks. Equally important to us are reading promotion in practice and the interprofessional collaborations and forms of cooperation between different stakeholders, such as teachers and librarians, and institutions, such as libraries and the educational system. The centre’s activities therefore also include smaller projects, commissioned research, and accompanying research projects that relate in various ways to reading promotion in a broad sense.

Collaboration and cooperation are important guiding principles for us, and we aim to be a collaborative partner for those of you who work every day to further develop the practical dimensions of reading promotion. We can therefore also help you tailor courses, educational programmes, and workshops that address what you consider relevant at the present time. In this way, the centre also brings together expertise and experience in collaboration and cooperation, through which new knowledge about reading research and reading promotion is communicated on an academic basis.

This website is also updated continuously with new projects and publications, and there may be a seminar that you would like to attend. Please contact us if you would like to arrange something under the auspices of the centre. We welcome visiting researchers who wish to affiliate both smaller and larger research projects with us or spend a period of time in our environment.
