Collaboration for a second chance

The project examines Chansen, a labour market intervention in the City of Borås targeting individuals with experience of criminal justice involvement, substance abuse problems, and long-term social exclusion.

End date: 2027-12-31

The intervention is based on close inter-agency collaboration between the Labour Market Administration, Social Services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, and constitutes an example of cross-sectoral welfare governance in which labour market integration is used as a crime prevention strategy.
