The study focuses on the organisation and implementation of these services, the professional competencies available within library organisations, and the future challenges anticipated by library staff. The project further seeks to identify the professional resources required to achieve the objectives articulated in local library plans. The empirical study comprises a survey, document analysis, and focus group interviews with library managers and library staff. The project is conducted by Jenny Lindberg, Senior Lecturer at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science.
