By using a heated ethanol-based alkaline aqueous process, the project seeks to separate and recover valuable materials while preserving fibre quality. The main goals are to recover PET monomers, retain cotton and polyamide fibres for reuse in new textile products, reduce environmental impact, and support a more circular textile value chain.
The project combines expertise in chemical process engineering and textile technology, with the ambition to contribute to more resource-efficient recycling solutions for the textile industry.
