THREADs

THREADs promote the transition to a circular and resource efficient economy by develop textile waste collection and sorting, demonstrate opportunities to Re-imagine textile resources to industry & fast fashion consumers and empower Social Enterprises (SE) to stimulate innovation and create opportunities in local communities in the NPA-region.

Capitalising on the benefits of working transnationally towards solutions & innovations in each sphere, activities include piloting state-of-the-art technologies, education, awareness raising & skills transfer expected results are:

  • Adoption of smart waste collection for resource efficiency and sustainable textile handling practices across borders in the NPA-region.
  • Increased implementation of circular practices from designers through to consumers ensuring resource sufficiency.
  • Enhanced Social inclusion activities.
  • New business model implementation
    Target groups: waste management stakeholders, consumers, designers, craftspeople, educators, disadvantaged groups and social enterprises.
