(2020-12-01)

We have received information that hardware needs to be restarted for the extra sim cards to work in a computer or iPad.

When activating a new sim card, you who have a MEX subscription may have received a text that your voice mail have not been activated. Ignore this text as MEX users voicemail goes through the university's switchboard.

Information for you that have a mobile subscription or mobile broadband by the university.

As previously announced, the new sim cards from Tele2 will be sent to your home address. As the schedule is tight, it was unfortunate that the system update in Primula occurred at the same time. Primula has now opened again, so if you know that you recently changed your home address, it is important to check your contact information in Primula no later than 4 of November.

If you find out afterwards that your contact information is incorrect, contact IT at it@hb.se.

The new sim cards from Tele2 will start to be sent by mail around 10th of November. Keep this letter until the change to Tele2 on December 1. Then you have to insert the new sim card in order to be able to make or recieve phone calls on your phone. The current agreement with A3 runs until 30th of November and until then you use your current SIM card.

If you are outside Sweden on 1 of December it is important that you immediately contact it@hb.se as porting of phone number only can be made when you are in Sweden. A later porting date will occur for these users.

Dates to keep track of:

November 4: Check the address details in Primula
November 10: Keep an eye on the mailbox for letters from Tele2
December 1: Insert your new sim card from Tele2 in your mobile
November 2 and onwards: If you have any questions. First check at hb.se/telefoni. Then contact it@hb.se and we will help you.

The implementation of the new system is planned to be commissioned on 1 of December. You as a user won’t be affected by any major changes and you will keep your current phone and phone number.

If you have a mobile phone in the service you will have to change your sim card. Due to covid-19 the new sim cards will be sent home to your home address registered in Primula. It is therefore important that you go log in to primula and check if the contact information is correct October 30 the latest to make sure the sim card is sent to the correct address.
