September 22: The library presents tools and resources – U421 (TFC Break Room) 

In the first Facts and Fika we present the library as a resource. We cover general and specific databases, e-books, and accessing journals. We'll also take the opportunity to look at reference management tools. Join us in discussing information seeking! 

October 20: Information seeking – A516 (A3 Break Room) 

The second theme this autumn is information seeking. Whether you need to do a literature review, a systematic search, or are looking for the perfect article to cite, the library can help. We will introduce our databases, and run you through searches, including the AI search tools that doctoral students at the university can access. Bring your queries! 

November 24: Publishing – E727 (A2 Break Room) 

The third theme for this autumn is publishing. What to consider when choosing a journal or license, which journal selection tools we have, what you are allowed to do with AI, and other publishing ethics questions. We can also discuss how you avoid predatory journals, and any other questions you bring along. 

December 22: Introduction to open science and research data – D855 (A1 Break Room) 

The fourth theme will be an introduction to open science and research data. You may have already completed the course in data management and want a refresher, or you may be completely new and planning to take the course in the future. You will get a simple introduction to the topic, and we can discuss your questions and concerns.
