Journal finders

Most journal finder tools work in the same way. You paste your title, abstract, keywords or other relevant text into the tool, and it will search for similar words in published articles. The tool will then suggest the journals that are the best match for the information entered.

There are tools run by companies and organisations that aren't tied to particular publishers. They often suggest journals from different publishers. There are also tools that are run by the publishers themselves. They obviously only suggest journals that they publish. However, these often include information that can be good for authors to have. Examples include the response time and what percentage of submitted manuscripts are accepted.
