Evening view of the library and parts of campus

About us

In addition to lecture halls, restaurants, and cafés, the campus also hosts one of the best libraries in Sweden. The Textile Fashion Center can be found here as well; it's an arena for the textile industry of the future and a natural home for the Swedish School of Textiles, with its unique machine park and state-of-the-art-premises. The campus is not only a place to meet, but also a driving pulse for both students and the city's residents.

The University of Borås has approximately 18,300 students and approximately 800 employees. We have many exciting research and education environments within several different areas that have access to unique equipment. Many of the university's research projects and courses are closely tied to the objectives of Agenda 2030.

The national and internationally renowned Swedish School of Textiles and Swedish School of Library and Information Science are a part of the University of Borås, both of which host educational programmes and research. Science Park Borås is also a part of the university; it is a national leader when it comes to addressing issues of sustainability and consumption.

The University of Borås is a member of the European University Association, EUA. EUA represents and supports higher education institutions in 49 countries, providing them with a unique forum to collaborate and keep on top of the latest trends in higher education and research policies.
