Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is an EU programme for education, youth and sports. The programme was established in 1987 and is divided into seven-year cycles with a dedicated budget for each period. For the current period, 2021-2027, the programme has a budget of €26.2 billion. The programme provides higher education with opportunities for international collaboration and mobilities for studies, traineeships, staff training and teaching.

Erasmus Charter for Higher Education

In order for a higher education institution to participate in the Erasmus+ programme, an application for an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) must be submitted. The University of Borås (UB) has been granted an ECHE for the current programme period (2021-2027). ECHE establishes the basic principles for all Erasmus cooperation within higher education.

Erasmus+ mobility

The university participates in various kinds of Erasmus+ projects including Erasmus+ mobility. The International Office coordinates both Erasmus+ mobility with partner universities in Europe and Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) with non-European partners. Erasmus+ project cooperation
