Information for External Expert Reviewers

Please read the following documents carefully before starting your assignment.

Application documents
At the University of Borås, we use the recruitment tool ReachMee (RM). It contains information about all the candidates and their application documents. Below, you will find a quick reference guide for RM and a link to log in. Login details will be emailed to you by the Human Resources Officer.
Review
Write your expert review(s) in accordance with the Guidelines for Reviewers. More detailed instructions for your review(s) can be found in the email with your login details. It should indicate who wrote the review and which recruitment or promotion case it relates to.
Send the review and the compensation payment form to hr@hb.se. Remember not to send the review from a private email address.
Any publications from the applicant that were not electronically attached should be returned to HR at the University of Borås.
Compensation
Depending on whether you are resident in Sweden or abroad, different documents are needed for us to compensate you. Send all such documents to hr@hb.se along with your review. Please note that we do not currently accept e-signing of the compensation form.
If you are a resident outside of Sweden you must apply for special income tax for non-residents (SINK) from the Swedish Tax Agency.
The compensation for the assignment will be paid via Danske Bank once the compensation documentation has been received and the case has been closed.

Compensation levels
The following levels of compensation apply to External Expert Reviewers in recruitment and promotion cases at the University of Borås.
Reviewing for the roles of Senior Lecturer and Associate Senior Lecturer
The compensation rate depends on the number of applicants. The compensation paid for the assessment of one applicant is SEK 5,000. In addition, SEK 2,000 will be added for each additional applicant that External Expert Reviewers review.
Reviewing Docent/Associate Professor applications
A fixed pay rate of SEK 7,000 is paid to an External Expert Reviewer in these cases.
Reviewing for the roles of Professor and Associate Professor
The compensation rate depends on the number of applicants. The compensation paid for the assessment of one applicant is SEK 7,000. In addition, SEK 3,000 will be added for each additional applicant that External Expert Reviewers review.
