Data Mining 7.5 hp

The course Data Mining provides you with a general introduction to the subject of data mining by dealing with such areas as data mining methods; data preprocessing and data quality aspects; data mining techniques; result analysis; and evaluation methodology. The course also provides practical knowledge of modern data mining tools. Moreover, you gain knowledge regarding regulations as well as various ethical aspects in connection to data collection and analysis.

The course gives a general introduction to data mining by covering: data mining methodology, preprocessing of data and data quality aspects, data mining techniques, result analysis and evaluation methodology and practical work with modern data mining tools. Law and ethical aspects of data collection is also discussed.
