The course is for you who already have knowledge in textile materials or fiber- and yarn technology and want to gain in-depth knowledge of yarn processing. The course covers the most used method in the area: ring spinning. The basics are given through theoretical lectures. The knowledge is then used in a digital laboratory where settings are changed to achieve a yarn in right quality and a stable process. Step by step ring spinning and its preparatory steps (opening, carding and drafting) are covered. Calculations are performed to find the right settings to achieve a specific yarn. The calculations give understanding for the ring spinning process, how to achieve a balanced production with few disruptions.
