Sports and leisure activities engage many people, but they also require large amounts of equipment, resources, and new consumption. At the same time, many children and young people are excluded from organized sports, often due to high costs or lack of access to appropriate equipment.

The project Circular Association 2030 addresses both of these challenges with the aim of making sports in Västra Götaland more sustainable by transforming, at a systems level, how sports equipment is used, shared, and organized. The project will develop concrete methods, models, and working approaches that can be used by:

sports associations and clubs
municipalities
sports federations
sports and leisure companies

The work includes mapping the current situation, analyzing existing actors and initiatives, and developing new solutions for the circular management of sports equipment.
