Data to Business

Data to Business

"The 'Data, Information, and Circularity' project in the ÖKS region aims to promote circular economy in the fashion, furniture, and design industries. This initiative is part of the EU Commission's vision for a climate-neutral Europe by 2050 and is linked to the EU's textile strategy and ECO-design's digital product passport (DPP), which is expected to be operational before 2030. The project focuses on developing a structured, data-driven approach to address the industry's challenges, with a particular emphasis on traceability and transparency. The goal is to promote circular transition through the use of data, which will lead to optimization, reduced environmental impact, and improved resource efficiency."

Project progress and results (2025–2026)

During 2025 and 2026, more than 40 Nordic brands have participated in the Data to Business competence programme, exploring how product data can create value through transparency, customer engagement, repair, circular services and new business models.

Participating companies have developed and presented prototype of Digital Product Passport concepts, demonstrating how product data can move beyond compliance and become a driver of business innovation.

The project is ongoing, with further competence-building activities planned for 2027. Final project results will be reported at the end of the project.
