The library outreach service The book is coming (Boken kommer) is highlighted from the perspective of both library staff, management and users. The study identifies the qualities and limitations of the existing service, and discusses its development opportunities in relation to society's demographic development, the conditions of the librarian profession and the technical development of library services.
