I am a lecturer in business administration with a focus on accounting. My research interests are on the production of accounting numbers and how they relate to the underlying economic events. I’m interested in questions such as what role accounting plays in organisations, what the production of accounting does to organisations and how accounting can or cannot function as  a trusted medium of information exchange and why it sometimes does not function in this role.

I am a PhD student at the University of Gothenburg. My thesis is a case study of what actors effect sustainability reporting in a large Swedish organization. Using an infrastructure framework I show how sustainability reporting is linked to the underlying events and how the existing reporting infrastructure shapes what accounting is possible. In 2015 I successfully defended my licentiate thesis From bricks to numbers – a study of translation where I followed accounting information from the economic events to the group’s annual report.

I teach mostly introductory accounting, qualitative methods and financial statement analysis. Both on a bachelor’s and master’s level.
