I am working, as a PhD student, on a 4-year project"SCArCITY - Scaling Circular Business Models (CBMs) in Cascaded Systems: Paradoxes, Strategies, and Metrics in the Clothing and Textile Industry" funded by Swedish government research council for sustainable development (FORMAS).
In my current study I aim to understand and prioritize the main strategic paradoxes/tensions, and the challenges these pose to scaling CBMs in cascaded textile systems. In the next step (next study), I explore and explain the dynamic configuration of resources and capabilities across CBMs in cascaded textile systems for overcoming strategic paradoxes/tensions identified in my first study. And finally, in the last step, I will identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to prescribe how these KPI metrics valorize CBMs to contribute to different Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Before starting my PhD, I worked, as a Research Assistant and as a member of the RUBIZMO project, on Business Model Innovations in sectors such as agri-food, bio-based value chains, and ecosystem services at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU-Uppsala), where I got my second master’s degree in Business Administration. I wrote my dissertation entitled “Value Capturing through Business Model Adaptations to Sustainability”, funded by Kungl. Skogs- och Lantbruksakademien as well as Lantmännen. My first master’s degree was in Executive Management from the Azad University of Iran, which continued after my Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
