The grading system at the University varies depending upon your department. At the University of Borås we use the following grading scales:

• a two-grade scale of Fail or Pass (U or G)
• a three-grade scale of Fail, Pass, and Pass with distinction (U, G, VG)
• a four-grade scale: fail, 3, 4, 5 where 5 is the highest grade
• a seven-grade scale: Excellent (A), Very good (B), Good (C), Satisfactory (D) or Sufficient (E), Fail (F and Fx)

The grading scale can vary within the same course. Your Transcript of Records will provide information about the various grading scales.
As an exchange student, it is your home universities responsibility to make the assessment regarding credit transfer.
