At the University of Borås the academic ceremony with professorial inauguration and doctoral degree conferment ceremony takes place annually in the beginning of May. This year the ceremony took place 3 May. During the ceremony there was an inauguration for the new Vice-Chancellor.

During the ceremony five new professors were also inaugurated. Six individuals who have reached the doctoral exam at the university were part of the doctoral degree conferment ceremony.
