New professor wants the focus to be on the patient

Elisabeth Lindberg has worked at the University of Borås since 2002, with some interruptions for clinical work. She defended her doctoral thesis in 2014 and she describes her research since then as having followed three tracks:

  • Existential issues in caring contexts
  • Method development on a lifeworld theoretical basis
  • Intertwining caring and learning

"I want to work towards care that has as its focus the patient perspective and the human being as a whole – existence and biology – both in our research and education," said Elisabeth Lindberg.

She has assignments as subject leader for Caring Science at the Faculty of Caring Science, Work Life and Social Welfare and is a member of the university's Research and Education Board.

Installed during the Academic Ceremony on 5 May

Elisabeth Lindberg is the principal supervisor for three doctoral students and assistant supervisor for two. She will be installed as a professor during the Academic Ceremony on 5 May 2023, and in connection with the ceremony hold an inaugural lecture open to the public.
