The task of the Academic Appointment Committee is to make recommendations related to promotion and hiring. The committee is also tasked with assessing and certifying that the employment profile for teachers meets the eligibility requirements according to the Appointments Procedure, appointing external expert reviewers based on proposals from the Dean of Faculty/Head of Department, and deciding which applicant(s) should be sent to external expert reviewers for assessment after consultation with the relevant Dean of Faculty/Head of Department. The Academic Appointment Committee can also decide on supplementary investigation measures in employment and promotion matters.
