Funding for research projects
In accordance with the collaboration agreement between Sparbanken Sjuhärads ägarstiftelse and the University of Borås, the university may to seek funding from the bank's owner foundation to conduct research projects in the fields of Textiles and Fashion and Resource Recovery. In addition to these areas, it will also be possible to apply for funding for other areas of mutual interest to the foundation and the university. The purpose of the foundation is to contribute to good living conditions for the residents of the Sjuhärad region.
Decisions about which research projects to receive funding from the foundation are decided by the foundation, based on documentation produced by the university. This takes place through an internal application process within the university. The foundation's decisions are made in dialogue between the foundation and the university within the framework of a steering committee. The annual activities are followed up and determined within the framework of this steering committee.
Steering committee decision meetings take place in October each year, with follow-up meetings in March.
How to apply

The internal process is only open to applications for funding of research projects in the areas of Textiles and Fashion, and Resource Recovery.
In order to be relevant for assessment regarding decisions on funding, the research project must:
- aim to contribute to good living conditions for the inhabitants of the Sjuhärad region, and
- contribute to a sustainable and attractive Sjuhärad region
Projects that have co-funding and that can be further developed with other external financing are prioritised.
The application must be written in the template Ansökan forskningsprojekt.docx and be signed by the Dean of Faculty in EduSign before submitted to rektorsstab@hb.se
Deadline: September 5th.
Decisions about which applications to be approved are made by the steering group. The final decision is then made by the Vice-Chancellor.
Reporting back approved projects
During and after the project's implementation, oral presentations are expected to the aforementioned steering committee.
Within three months of the end of the project, it must be reported back in the template Projektrapport forskning.docx and emailed to rektorsstab@hb.se.
