Bio-based thermosets with improved thermal and hydro resistance
In a recent project, we studied mechanical recycling of polyethylene reinforced with carbon nanotubes. It was then observed that the plastic got an astonishing thermal stability when the nanotubes were added to the plastic. We would now like to add carbon nanotubes to one of the bio-based resin that we have earlier synthesised. The purpose of the project is to evaluate if the nanotubes can improve the thermal properties of this resin and hence overcome some of its intrinsic weakness towards high temperature and humidity.
