Biodegradation of renewable composites

The purpose of this project is to develop novel biocomposites from bioplastics and different waste materials. Presently, food and forest industry produce large amount of different waste materials. One example of an important waste material is lignin which is produced in large amounts as a by-product in the paper industry. Another example is the shell fish industry producing large amounts shell fish waste that has no commercial application.
