Circular and climate optimized concrete element for new construction

The project aims to design a climate-reduced concrete element using crushed demolition waste as aggregate and recycled flat glass as a substitute for cement. The goal of the project is that by a systems approach optimize the crushing process of demolition waste, use crushing products as a resource in new climate-reduced prefab elements and verify climate impact by LCA. Thus the waste becomes a resource in new buildings and contributes to developing industrial and urban symbiosis and circular economic business models for new building products.
