My research focuses on how multi-criteria decision methods, digitalization and artificial intelligence can help organizations make better decisions when the information available is incomplete and complex. Choices such as which supplier to select, how to sequence value chain and logistics operations, or where to deliver circular material are rarely settled by a single number. Data attributes of criteria, alternatives, locations, etc. usually pull in different directions, and the decision often has to be made based on the available information in any form. That is where multi-criteria and AI-driven decision support come in. Instead of searching for one perfect answer, these methods map out optimal options and make the trade-offs between them visible, so that decision makers can select better solutions.
