I am a doctoral student in the SHIFT CARE research school with a project entitled: Equal, proximity care and professional support to children and young people living on home mechanical ventilation. The fundamental research question concerns the conditions given to children and young people with respiratory support at home.

I have a background as a nurse in intensive care but have also studied organization and management in healthcare. I started my employment at the University of Borås in 2020 and have since been active as a teacher in the Leadership Training for Elderly Care Managers and the Nursing Training as well as a program manager for Healthcare Administration.

During my years in intensive care, I have met children and young people with respiratory support at home many times and after working as a teacher in the organization and management of healthcare, the two spheres of interest have now been united in a joint project.
