Vijay Kumar works as Senior Lecturer in the field of Textile Management. He has completed his PhD under the framework of Erasmus Mundus joint doctorate fellowship program -- Sustainable Management and Design for Textiles (SMDTex), in collaboration with University of Borås (Sweden), Université Lille 1, Sciences et Technologies (France), and Soochow University (China).
Dr. Kumar has interdisciplinary research background within the field of textile management and textile technology. His area of research within the field of textile management focuses on supply chain management with an emphasis on traceability and alternative business models, where he pursues theoretical modeling and data-driven research. Furthermore, within the field of textile technology, his research focuses on the mechanics of textile structures including textile nonwovens and nonwoven-like materials such as CNT buckypapers.
Dr. Kumar has been working at University of Borås, Sweden since September 2018. Prior to this, he has worked as ATER at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industries Textile (ENSAIT), France from September 2017 to August 2018.
