Booking rooms for the Student Union

Contact campusservice@hb.se if you have any questions or wish to make an appointment to discuss details in advance of major events, such as trade fairs and conferences.

When booking a dining room or break room (student kitchen) for a meal, the following applies:

  • The furniture in the room must not be moved.
  • Lighting adjustments are not allowed.
  • You must leave the room orderly and clean.
  • If you have booked a dining room, food must be ordered from Restaurant Balder at least one week before the scheduled date.
  • If you have booked a break room (student kitchen), it is important that you let people know well in advance about the event by putting up a note in the black frame outside the premises where you let others know about alternative break rooms, e.g. the mezzanine above the Media Lab.
  • Alcohol and drug policy: When renting university premises for events under the auspices of the Student Union or student associations or for private engagements, alcohol may be served. However, this must be done in moderation and non-alcoholic alternatives should always be available. Please note that the University of Borås does not have an alcohol permit. Renters are responsible for applying for an alcohol permit if they wish to serve alcohol.
